Steel or Poly Hooded Roof Vent

The roof vent has a big, wide 15" x 15" inlet area for free air movement. Lap over design on the steel roof vent prevents leakage of moisture and condensation.

Solid Tieless Walk-In Door

Truly a walk-in door with no cross ties. Clear span opening allows anyone to walk in and out without having to crawl or unbolt any parts.

32 Degree Roof Slope

The 32 degree slope sheds moisture fast, both inside and outside of the panels.

Roof Ribs and Roof Edge

The roof ribs are deep, double-thick, overlapping and interlocked. The roof edge is rolled 340 degrees to stiffen panel edges and stand up to harsh Midwest winds and reduce vibration that may cause failure. Wide rib allows for easy assembly. Sioux Steel has the strongest farm bin roof in the industry.

Fill Caps are designed for one-handed control of the cap. Ground control or flat top-style caps are optional for permanent installation of cross augers or spouting.

Sioux Steel is the only company to offer a 5-year warranty on Farm Bins.

Compression Rings with Locking Collars

On bins 21’ to 48’ in diameter, compression rings with locking collars crown the roof for added strength and support which is especially important in windy locations. Every Sioux bin comes with the optimum number of rings as determined by the size requirements.

Ladder and Cage Systems

Ladders are manufactured from sturdy galvanized steel tube that fit the bin side wall with each ring. It's safe and strong. Four bolts simplify attachment. The welded design ensures stability. No drilling, extra brackets or hardware and no bolts to loosen!

Power Sweep

Sioux Steel's Gold Quality Power Sweeps are made with galvanized tube, galvanized intermediate sumps, and galvanized control pipes. This is superior to painted black steel like the other power sweep manufacturers use. With the new sweep drive, you'll have less maintenance and less hassle. Heavier components and heavy duty clutch provide a longer work life.

Floor and Floor Support System

Floor are designed to develop equal air pressure under the entire floor surface. This ensures an even drying pattern throughout the grain mass. Air movement along the side wall is regulated with a perforate seal matched to the floor specifications.
Floor supports are heavy gauge, galvanized steel formed with ten vertical ribs to support grain depths up to 37 feet. Center opening ensures free air movement.

4" Corrugation on 44" Wide Sheets

Corrugation on sheets reduce pressure on the sidewalls and allows grain to flow easily down bin walls with less resistance. Fewer sheets cover a wider area, lowering construction costs by simplifying the assembly. On bins of similar capacity, wide corrugation achieves better protection from the elements with a 25% reduction in the number of seams.

Sioux Aeration Fans and Heaters

Sioux Aeration Fans are engineered to offer the best airflow in the industry. Sioux fans equalize the temperatures of stored grain to maintain a profitable, high-quality product. A properly sized fan ensures good airflow for years of dependable operation.

Aeration is not intended to dry grain. (See our Grain Drying Equipment page for information on drying grain.) Our broad selection of fans can provide airflow for any size application.

Each Bin is Individually Made and Hand-Inspected

Auger Hopper

Auger hopper door board is optional on 15' to 24' diameter bins. Door frame is the same style as on larger bins.

Transition

Vertical supports offer added strength at the entrance opening. The aerodynamically engineered "channel-flow" shape delivers air between the fan and bin plenum. Multiple sizes fit every size fan and heater.
