Several different deck spindles have been used on various Country Clipper mowers.
This guide will list the different spindles, which ones are used on which mowers,
which parts are used on the different spindles, and how to identify which spindle you have.
Country Clipper first used a cast iron spindle (660-045P). This was used on all Country Clipper mowers made in 2011 or earlier.

- 660-045P
- 660-027A
- 609F-091A (current part number)
Country Clipper first used a cast iron spindle (660-045P). This was used on all Country Clipper mowers made in 2011 or earlier.
There was also a cast iron keyed spindle 660-027A used in some years.
The spindles are almost identical, except one has a flat surface, and one has a tapered surface.
Both of the above were replaced by spindle: 609F-091A
(If your spindle is flat, or your parts manual calls for housing 660-028P, you will need two spacer washers (629-237P) to make this spindle sit flat. )

In 2012, Country Clipper switched to a different cast iron spingle for some mowers.
This has since been replaced a spindle that is identical, except that it has grooves for o-rings at the top and bottom of the spindle.
This spindle is mostly used on Charger and BOSSXL models.

- D-3917
This spindle is mostly used on 2016 and newer Avenue and Boulevard mowers.
Spindle Assembly Number:
- D-3970
This spindle has a thick spacer at the top of the spindle, betweent the bearing and the pulley.
Used on some Challenger mowers.
Spindle Assembly Number:
- D-4020
This spindle has two thin spacers at the top of the spindle, one below, and one above the pulley.
This is used on some XLT, and some Challenger mowers.
